Welcome to the Reykjavik Line Dance Festival – where line dance meets the top of the world! Get ready for an unforgettable weekend in Iceland, as we invite you to join us on September 12 & 13, 2025, for a celebration of rhythm, movement, and community.

Prepare to be swept off your feet by a stellar lineup of international talents, including renowned choreographers such as Niels Poulsen from Denmark and Dee Musk from the UK. Along with musical talent Nikki Napier and line dance enthusiast’s  Aumund Storsveen and Thomas Larsen from Norway. Their expertise and passion for line dance promise to inspire and elevate your dancing experience to new heights.

The venue is Grótta sports centre, located on the west side of Reykjavik city centre in the small town of Seltjarnarnes. A walk to there from the city centre takes around 40 minutes. By bus it is a 25 minute ride from Hlemmur in the city centre and by a private car it´s a 10 minute drive.

But the magic doesn’t stop there. We’re proud to introduce your local hosts, Óli Geir Johannesson and Johann Olafsson, who will guide you through the festival with warmth, enthusiasm, and a deep love for their Icelandic roots.

Jóhann is a passionate line dancing enthusiast with 35 years of experience in the vibrant world of professional dance. With a deep love for the rhythmic beats and synchronized steps of line dancing, Jóhann is dedicated to sharing this joyful activity with others. Whether you’re a beginner eager to learn the basics or an experienced dancer looking to refine your moves, Jóhann’s expertise and enthusiasm will guide you every step of the way.

Óli Geir is a seasoned line dancing expert with a passion for the art of synchronized movement and music. With years of experience in both teaching and choreographing, Óli Geir brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the dance floor. His approachable style and clear instructions make learning line dancing accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Niels Poulsen is a renowned line dance instructor from Denmark, celebrated for his dynamic teaching style and innovative choreography. With a deep passion for line dancing, Niels has traveled the world sharing his expertise and inspiring dancers of all levels. His classes are known for their energy, creativity, and inclusivity, making everyone feel welcome and excited to learn. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced dancer, Niels Poulsen’s guidance will elevate your skills and bring out your best moves.
